Capers Italian Pasta Restaurant

We went to Capers for lunch today. They still had their 'Eat all you can' promo which is at $6 per child and $12.80 per adult. Hazel & Mark both had their usual Fettucine Carbonara, and they shared a small pizza between the two of them.

After a very very long debate with myself, I decided to have their set lunch at $6.50 per head and I chose Penne with Beef Bacon, served with Caesar Salad and a soft drink. I asked for sparkling apple juice which Hazel wanted.

I must say I didn't like my pasta much as I thought the sauce was too sweet, but this is purely a personal preference as I do not like sweet sauces on savoury dishes. The Caesar Salad was good - the mixed lettuce was crispy and cold (and Cos would have been better) and it came with the very important ingredients of a good Caesar Salad; anchovies, croutons, chopped beef bacon and shaved parmesan. Dressing was a very simple lemon juice and olive oil combination (add some mashed garlic, dijon mustard, salt and black pepper and the dressing would be magic). I would have liked it if they had served the salad on a separate plate which I promptly did as soon as the plate was served.

I think Capers serves pretty good food (their Carbonara was lovely) and their staff are always very polite and pleasant. Ambience is terrific with their tall glass windows which you can look out of, at the busy Kiulap junction. Their prices are insanely cheap too without too much sacrifice on quality & portion control. It's one of the children's favourite places to eat at and I like it too, for the location and ambience.

That was before. Now is different, i don't like the food. When you say 'eat all you can' people immediately think that they can order and eat everything in the menu but unfortunately you can only choose between pasta and pizza. Me n my friend order beef lasagne, mia spageti, penelli lamb shank, fetuccini carbonara, 4 kind of pizzas which we asked for a small one. For my drink, i ask for teh tarik while my friend ordered hazelnut latte.

Our first food came which is lasagne. To my suprise the beef lasagne was served in a very small dish n the beef lasagne itself was very small portion as it is for a 4 yrs old food and the food is cold. Then our second dish was mia
spagheti, which is also small portion with lots of sauce but lack of noodles n it was served cold. Our 3rd dish came which was the pizza and yet our drinks was not being served. The pizza was very small, its like the size of a small sauce plate. The pizza was ok n crispy but it was served cold. Then my tea tarik came and im not happy with it cos it was served cold.

To make it short, capers was suck, the food is great but all the food was served cold. Why do u pay $14.80 for a very small portion and being served cold? The service was suck. They ignored when we call them, they didnt smile and the service was very slow. This is the restaurant that i will never come and it is not recommended to people especially pizza n pasta lover..

Capers is Great i Love the all you can eat
And to the guy who hates capers, i hate you for the "all you can eat" off course the portion is smaller and as for your food being cold that was just unlucky off you also you could just ask for a bigger pizza or order as much as you can for the "all you can eat"(all you can eat = order as much as you want)

- I only went to WyWy once and I think they are unreasonably over priced for a normal restaurant. Service sucked like hell. A little smile would have been better.
-I think they hv been victimised by someone who has some grudge against them!
-To close the matter for once and for all, we need another independent lab test to reconfirm.
